FPL 2018/19 : Top 3 Hidden Gems for your Gameweek 2 squad

The FPL 2018/19 campaign is underway & we’re back with 3 hidden gems who can make the difference to your FPL squads in Gameweek 2.

  1. Diogo Jota

Fixture : Leicester City (A)

Jota was the top scorer for Wolves in the Championship, scoring 17 goals & assisting on 5 occasions. With his price tag of £6.5m the Portuguese can prove to be a value addition to your GW2 FPL teams. Jota plays on the left wing in a 3-4-3 system and though listed as a midfielder, he takes up a more attacking role up front for the newly promoted side. The forward provided an assist in the 2-2 draw with Everton in their season opener as he gathered a total of 5 points as he went on to play the entire 90 minutes.

  1. Chris Wood

Fixture : Watford (H)

The Burnley target man got on the score sheet on 10 occasions last season for the Clarets. The New Zealand international would be eager to open his account for the season as Burnley host Watford. At Turf Moor, Burnley have a tremendous record as they conceded only 19 goals and kept 7 clean sheets proving that they’re really solid at home. In their recent meetings, Burnley have had the upper hand on Watford as they’ve beaten the Hornets 3 times in their previous 4 meetings.  With an ownership of 0.5% Wood’s inclusion in your team can help you get that extra edge over your FPL rivals.

  1. Cenk Tosun

Fixture : Southampton (A)

The Turkish striker is owned by just 6.8% FPL managers though he has been in good form. Tosun arrived at Everton in the winter transfer window of 17/18 season and scored 5 goals for the Toffees in 14 appearances for the club and accumulated a total of 55 points. In the pre season, the striker has been in red hot form & has carried that hot run of form into the Premier League as well as he picked up an assist against the newly promoted Wolves. With the striker up against a leaky Southampton defence, Tosun would be eyeing to get his season underway against the Saints.
