Gameweek 1 is done & dusted. All the hard work that was put into creating your team might or might not have paid off for you but the season is still far from over & there is ample time to recover from those red arrows. With Gameweek 2 fast approaching, we pick out the Top 5 Captain picks for the upcoming weekend.
Mo Salah (v/s Crystal Palace) (A)
The Egyptian King hit the ground running at Anfield this season, as Liverpool beat West Ham 4-0 in the league. Salah started the season on a high as he opened the scoring for the Reds. The winger looked in good touch and was the most captained player for Gameweek 1, hurting all the people who did not have him in their team. Liverpool travel to Selhurst Park for their 2nd league match of the season & the Anfield faithful will once again be dependent on their star man to deliver.
Cenk Tosun (v/s Southampton) (A)
Tosun played 80 minutes against Wolverhampton Wanderers and picked up an assist against them. The forward will be eyeing to score his first goal of the season against Southampton who are a little weak at the back. Everton bolstered their squad well this time around & there will be no shortage of supply for the Turkish International. With only an ownership of 6.7% he could be the man who can make a difference to your Gameweek 2 squad.
Harry Kane (v/s Fulham) (H)
Spurs looked like a shadow of their former self against Newcastle, even though they picked up the all important 3 points by winning 2-1. The August Curse has hit Tottenham striker Harry Kane again as he looked clueless against Newcastle, He’d be eyeing put this curse to bed & deliver all 3 points in the London derby against Fulham. Harry Kane has scored 22 goals in 33 Premier League London Derby matches.
Sergio Aguero (v/s Huddersfield) (H)
Aguero has been in fine form this season and the Argentine looks more dangerous than ever. The forward missed a 1 on 1 against Arsenal and would be looking to open his goal scoring account for the season against Huddersfield and what better place than to do it at home! Aguero is a fox in the box as he is always a goal scoring threat to the opposition.

Marko Arnautovic (v/s Bournemouth) (H)
In new manager Manuel Pellegrini’s first game incharge, West Ham were thrashed 4-0 by Liverpool at Anfield. Though he had a couple of chances to his name in that match, he failed to make the most of them! During the Summer window, the London side have improved their squad massively & would be hoping to put this thrashing by the Reds behind them. The Austrian forward would be love to be on the scoresheet for the first time this season as the Cherries visit the London stadium.
