FPL Player Spotlight | Gameweek 2: Joe Hart

With back to back away clean sheets for newly signed Burnley Keeper Joe Hart, a prospect of a home fixture against Watford seems to be favourable for the former England No.1 Goal Keeper. The 3rd most transferred in goalkeeper after Ederson & Hamer, he has announced himself as a budget goalkeeper to watch out for in FPL  An ownership of under 5%, Hart seems to be in good form and with Burnley tight at the back, Hart features in our FPL Player Spotlight for Gameweek 2.

Burnley have a tremendous home record in the Premier League as in the last season they conceded only 19 goals at home including a 1-1 draw with the ‘to-be’ champions Manchester City. The Clarets kept a total of 7 clean sheets at Turf Moor, something for the FPL Managers to keep an eye on.

Name – Joe Hart

Position – Goalkeeper

Price – £4.5m

Next Fixture – Watford (H)

ICT Index – 2.7

Experience is on Hart’s side as he holds the record for the most number of appearances for Manchester City & won 4 Golden Gloves during his tenure as a Citizen.  The goalkeeper is a surely valuable addition to the already solid Burnley defence and has made an impact right from the word go.

Watford will be travelling to Turf Moor on 19th August to take on Burnley in the league. Last year in the same fixture The Clarets beat a 10 men Watford 1-0 thanks to a Scott Arfield goal. Sean Dyche’s side would be hoping that his side would repeat their heroics from last season against the Hornets and Joe Hart will play a pivotal role in what promises to be a cracker of a match at Turf Moor.
