The FPL season kicks off in almost two weeks. FPL managers around the globe would be looking at 3rd & 4th Midfielders which can really help them in going the extra mile this season. A lot of new midfielders have signed for various Premier League clubs this season. In this article, we look at 5 mid price midfielders to watch out for in the 2018/19 Fantasy Premier League season.
Naby Keita (£5m – Liverpool)
Keita was a revelation for RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga. He scored 6 goals for them last season & created 37 chances while making up 5 assists. The midfielder’s price tag is justified given that his playing style will really compliment well with Liverpool’s attack, Keita will be crucial if Liverpool are to challenge Man City for the Premier League title this season.
Andriy Yarmolenko (£7.0m – West Ham)
The winger only started 13 matches for Dortmund where he scored 3 goals. The Ukranian would be eager to help the London side do well this season. Yarmolenko’s pace & quick feet are something that can terrorize any Premier League defence. For his £7.0m price tag, he’s a great punt pick given that West Ham have improved their squad with the inclusion of Jack Wilshere from Arsenal & Felipe Anderson from Lazio.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan (£7.0m – Arsenal)
Mkhitaryan started off really well last time around in the Premier League with Manchester United but he could not replicate his high level of performances in the latter half of the season. In January, he joined Arsenal in a swap deal that involved Alexis Sanchez going the other way. The Armenian has a lot of unfulfilled potential that can be unlocked this season under new Arsenal manager Unai Emery as this could be the making of Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s stint in the Premier League as he is a very creative midfielder as he finished the season with 9 assists.
Gylfi Sigurdsson (£7.5m – Everton)
The Iceland international was unable to repeat his heroics that earned him a big money move to Everton from Swansea. Siggurdson was a disappointment for Everton last season, as he could only manage 4 goals & 4 assists. The midfielder’s set-piece ability is second to none. Given Everton’s fixtures, the inclusion of the Icelandic player in your FPL squad can make a lot of sense and he’ll be raring to do well for the Merseyside team.
Alireza Jahanbakhsh (£7.0m – Brighton)
The Iranian joined Brighton in the summer transfer window of 18/19 season. Jahanbakhsh scored 21 goals & assisted 12 times in the Eredivisie for AZ Alkmaar. He had a passing accuracy of 73.4% , the highly rated winger will improve the Brighton attack. The signing of Alireza Jahanbakhsh is bound to give FPL managers a big headache as he is someone who can be hard to ignore.
