WWE Monday Night Raw: Ratings and Top Highlights

Roman Reigns

Raw started with a video of Nia Jax making fun of Ronda Rousey. Jax and Rousey were set to clear the air on the show.

Raw opened with Roman Reigns coming out to talk about the previous week, where he was interrupted by Jinder Mahal during his Triple Threat Match for the position on the Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

Kurt Angle-Roman Reigns Promo: 3

Roman called out Jinder but was interrupted by Kurt Angle. Angle came out and announced that Mahal had a match to qualify for the Money in the Bank, an opportunity he denied Roman Reigns. The Authority had reached out to him to make sure Roman did not get a chance at the Money in the Bank Title.

Roman said he understood but that he was going to do what he had to, and walked backstage where he started a fight with Jinder Mahal. Roman was able to get the upper hand in the brawl and hit Jinder with a Superman Punch. Jinder was able to run away and escape Reigns when the officials came to break up the brawl.


Seth Rollins vs Kevin Owens [Intercontinental Championship Match]: 4

Rollins and Owens started the show with the first match of the night. Seth defended his Intercontinental Title against Kevin Owens, as Owens looked to recover from his failed attempt to qualify for the Money in the Bank Match in the previous week.

Kevin Owens was looking to hit Seth with an Apron Bomb, but Seth was able to come away from the move and hit Owens with a Falcon Arrow on the apron.
Owens was in danger from the top rope but was hit with a Fisherman Buster instead. Rollins rolled out and Owens came out after him to get him back inside. Rollins took advantage of the slight distraction and hit Owens with the Stomp to pick up the win.


Baron Corbin vs Bobby Roode vs No Way Jose [Money in the Bank Qualifying Match]: 3.25

Corbin dominated most of the match, but at the end of the bout, he was unable to retain.
Corbin attacked Roode, but he was able to throw him out of the ring. Roode hit No Way Jose with the Glorious DDT to win the match.

The B-Team vs Breezango: 2.75

The Miztourage renamed their team, the B-Team, and faced Breezango in their first ever match.
In a match that saw an upset, they won the bout, picking up their first win.


The Riott Squad vs Sasha Banks, Natalya and Ember Moon: 2.5

The Riott Squad faced the team of Sasha, Natalya and Ember in a quick match.

Natalya looked fantastic during the match, hitting Morgan with some big moves. The rest of the women became involved outside the ring, and Natalya locked in the Sharpshooter on Morgan to win the match.

Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt vs The Revival: 2

The Revival looked to gain some repute by getting a win over the Tag Team Champions.

The B-Team looked on from the backstage, noting what Matt and Bray were doing. Revival targetted the knees of Hardy, searching for and looking to exploit any weakness.

Wyatt hit Dawson with the Urinagi and then they used the Kiss of Deletion to win the bout.


Bayley vs Alexa Bliss vs Mickie James [Money in the Bank Qualifying Match]: 1.75

Mickie James and Alexa Bliss looked to work together as they both tried to qualify for the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match.

Bayley had her hands full, against both of them. Mickie and Alexa fell apart halfway through the match, with both looking to win the match. Alexa hit the DDT on Bayley for the win.


Finn Balor and Braun Strowman vs Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler: 3.75

The new tag team of Ziggler and McIntyre looked to make their mark as they took on the team of Strowman and Balor.

Drew and Dolph looked to isolate Finn Balor, in the early parts of the match, but the moment that Braun came in he took everyone out initially.

Balor came back in when Braun went shoulder first into the Ring Post. He found himself facing both Drew and Dolph. He hit Dolph with a Slingblade and then hit him with a Running Dropkick. McIntyre interrupted and was thrown through the barricade by Braun.

Ziggler took advantage of the distraction and took Finn out with a surprise pin.


Bobby Lashley vs Elias vs Kevin Owens [Money in the Bank Qualification Match]: 3.5

Lashley took out both Owens and Elias early on. Elias tried to sing in the middle of the match but was interrupted. He hit Owens with a knee and almost pinned him.

Elias and Owens tried to hit Lashley with a Suplex together, but Lashley reversed instead and hit them with a Double Suplex. Lashley hit Elias with a Press Slam and then took him out with a Dominator. Sami Zayn interrupted and sent him into the barricade. Owens took advantage and defeated Elias with a Frog Splash for the win.

The show was a good one, and they did better than the previous week. They got a rating of 26.5 out of a possible 45.
