IPL 2018 – Match 48: KXIP VS RCB | Preview, Team News & Top Funtasy11 Picks

KXIP VS RCB – This article brings to you the preview, team news and top Funtasy picks for the 48th match of IPL 2018 between Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

The final week before play offs is all set to kick off and every game from now could be a virtual knockout. Rightly so, both Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore will be aiming for top four as they square off at Indore.

Kings XI Punjab Team News

It was an incredible run fest at the Holkar Stadium with Kolkata Knight Riders posting the highest total this season. However, the Punjab batsmen compensated the damage to an extent, having reached the 200-run mark in a loosing cause.

Punjab’s middle order woes are elevating like anything with every game. Their only retained player Axar Patel doesn’t seem to hold the traction and has had a forgettable season thus far.

Skipper R Ashwin made quite a few changes in the previous game against KKR. While Aaron Finch, Mayank Agarwal and Barinder Sran were brought back, Marcus Stoinis had to warm the bench despite some decent outings with bat. It would be interesting to see what combination Ashwin uses this time around in a ‘must win’ game.

Playing XI (Last Match): Chris Gayle, KL Rahul(wk), Mayank Agarwal, Aaron Finch, Karun Nair, Axar Patel, R Ashwin(capt), AJ Tye, Mohit Sharma, Barinder Sran, Mujeeb Ur Rahman

Royal Challengers Bangalore

The RCB camp was all smiles after a hard fought victory against Delhi Daredevils on Saturday. The deadly duo of AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli lit up the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium with some tremendous batting display.

It has been a topsy turvy journey for Sarfraz Khan who was yet again traded in the playing XI against DD. He could have easily returned unbeaten, having started well, but in turn was caught towards the end.

The bowlers seem to be doing fine which could be the reason for skipper Kohli to field the same XI against Punjab.

Playing XI (Last Match): Parthiv Patel (wk), Virat Kohli (capt), Sarfaraz Khan, AB de Villiers, Mandeep Singh, Colin de Grandhomme, Moeen Ali, Tim Southee, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Mohammed Siraj

Top Funtasy Picks

Kings XI Punjab: KL Rahul – The right hander has turned on the beast mode this season projecting some spell-binding hitting in the power play overs. Don’t miss out on him.

Royal Challengers Bangalore : AB de Villiers – You don’t really need any introduction how lethal ABD could prove on high scoring venues.

Punt Pick:  Moeen Ali – The England all-rounder has the propensity to win the game single handedly, if at his best.
