IPL 2018 – Match 6: RR VS DD | Preview, Team News & Top Funtasy11 Picks

RR VS DD – This article brings to you the preview, team news and top Funtasy picks for the 6th match of IPL 2018 between Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Daredevils.

Both Delhi Daredevils and Rajasthan Royals suffered one-sided defeats to Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad in their respective IPL openers.

While Delhi skipper Gautam Gambhir looks to capitalise upon his fine form, hosts Rajasthan will raring to prove a point in the upcoming clash at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium on 11 April.

Rajasthan Royals Team News

English seamer Jofra Archer is still suffering from a side strain and is expected to miss out the action against Delhi. Dhawan Kulkarni and Jaydev Unadkat shared the new ball fairly well with Ben Laughlin firing the thunderbolts later on. Even though the duo is likely to open the balling, Laughlin will be in contention to claim the opening spell.

It was a rather unfortunate debut for the Australian opener Darcy Short who got run-out in the very first over. Also, Ben Stokes couldn’t do much to rescue the team with either of the two roles. Rahane wouldn’t like to tinker the combination much after a solitary game.

Playing XI (Last Match): Ajinkya Rahane (capt.), D’Arcy Short, Rahul Tripathi, Sanju Samson, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler (wk), Ben Laughlin, K Gowtham, Shreyas Gopal, Dhawal Kulkarni, Jaydev Unadkat

Delhi Daredevils Team News

Glenn Maxwell is back with the franchise after having missed the opener on the account of teammate Finch’s marriage. The dangerous batsman is highly likely to replace all-rounder Daniel Christian in the playing XI.

Besides Maxwell’s incision, there isn’t any scope of alteration in the Delhi’s playing XI for today’s clash.

Playing XI (Last Match): Gautam Gambhir (c), Colin Munro, Rishabh Pant (wk), Shreyas Iyer, Chris Morris, Vijay Shankar, Daniel Christian, Amit Mishra, Rahul Tewatia, Trent Boult, Mohammad Shami

Top Funtasy Picks

Rajasthan Royals: Ben Stokes – The English all-rounder might have not done much in the 1st fixture, but he carries the propensity to win the game single handedly

Delhi Daredevils: Gautam Gambhir – Delhi’s skipper Gambhir led the team from the front inspite of losing the match later on. The left hander projects all the reasons why you should lay a bet on him first up.

Punt Pick: Glenn Maxwell – The big hitter is back and is expected to replace Daniel Christian in the DD squad against Rajasthan.
