IPL 2018: Sunrisers Hyderabad ticks all boxes with almost perfect team in auctions

Sunrisers Hyderabad team for IPL 2018

Arguably the strongest team emerging after the IPL 2018 auctions, Sunrisers Hyderabad have covered all bases when it comes to the three departments of the game. The fact that the Orange Army had the perfect blueprint for the auctions could be summed up in their two most expensive buys and a massive bargain respectively- Manish Pandey (11cr), Rashid Khan (9cr- RTM) and Shakib Al Hasan (2cr).

All-rounders: Shakib Al Hasan, Carlos Brathwaite, Yusuf Pathan, Deepak Hooda, Mohammad Nabi, Chris Jordan, Syed Mehdi Hasan & Bipul Sharma

Probable Playing XI: David Warner, Shikhar Dhawan, Manish Pandey, Wriddhiman Saha, Shakib Al Hasan, Deepak Hooda, Carlos Brathwaite/Mohammad Nabi, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, Basil Thampi

Verdict: Very Well balanced

If Warner – Dhawan share the openings duties, Pandey will be the fulcrum of SRH batting and one can expect the big shots from players like Deepak Hooda and Carlos Bathwaite. However, the bowling too is not to be left behind as Laxman and Moody’s troops have as many as eight genuine frontline quick bowlers- which includes the likes of Bhuvneshwar, Sandeep Sharma and Chris Jordan.

Bengal keeping duo of Wriddhiman and Shreevats will be seen donning the gloves behind the stumps to frontline spinners – Rashid and Nabi. The team also has plethora of talent in the bench – where we can see Kane Wiliamson and Yusuf Pathan.

In a nutshell, SRH has all the ingredients of a champion side and it would not be surprising if they lift the trophy one more time in this tournament of uncertainties.
