Every passing Grand Slam in the tennis calendar sees a record rise in the Prize Money and Australian Open 2018 is no different. With a 10% increase in the Australian Open prize money, the winners are set to take home a whopping AUD $4 Million in prize money.

The overall purse in Melbourne also saw an increase with the Tournament Prize Money shooting up to AUD $55 Million.

The increase see the players winning their singles qualifying round matches earning almost double what they were paid in 2017.

Men’s singles qualifying First Round winners will take home around AUD $15,000, Second Round winners will get $20,000 and Third Round winners will pocked massive AUD $30,000.

Both Men and Women Doubles Event also got  an increase in Prize Money with the winning pair taking home AUD $700,000 while runner ups pocketing as much as AUD $375,000.
