WWE Smackdown: Best and Worst Moments ft John Cena

WWE Smackdown Superstar John Cena

After losing his match with Shinsuke Nakamure for the Number One Contender position against Jinder Mahal and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Cena came out during WWE Smackdown to announce his intentions for Summerslam.

In this write up we will rate each segment between +5 to -5.

1. John Cena promo: +2

John Cena was talking about the match with Nakamura last week, when he was interrupted bt Baron Corbin. Corbin told Cena that he did not want to fight him as Cena had nothing to interested him in. Daniel Bryan came out to make the match between Cena and Corbin at Summerslam ever.

2. Sami Zayn and Tye Dillinger vs Usos: +3

With Tye and Sami both being hometown boys, the Usos had their match cut out for them. Jey tried to hit a back body from on Sami, but he landed on his feet and tagged in Tye. Dillinger hit an Uso for the Spinebuster, but Uso kicked out. Jimmy tagged himself in and hit the back of the knee of Tye Dillinger, and Jimmy locked in the Tequila Sunrise, and Dillinger had to tap.

After the match New Day attacked the Usos and brought in chairs to attack the Usos, but they were able to escape.

The Usos take on two native Canadians in Sami Zayn & Tye Dillinger, but the former titleholders are still focused on their SummerSlam bout with SmackDown Tag Team Champions The New Day.

4. Charlotte vs Lana: +3

Lana demanded the match against Charlotte and tried to take her out with a boot, but Charlotte showed off her power by manhandling her. Charlotte went for the backslide pin, but she kicked out and slapped Charlotte. Charlotte hit her with a Big Boot and locked in the Figure 8 for the win.

5. Shane McMahon Promo: +3

Shane called out AJ and Kevin Owens and told them that he will call their matchdown the middle at Summerslam. Owens reminded Shane about his rivalry with AJ earlier in the year, as well as the times he was guest referee and did not call the match down the middle. The meeting broke down, as AJ tried to hit Owens accidentally hit Shane with the Pelle Kick.

6. Naomi vs Carmella: +1

Naomi did not hold back at all, as she hit Natalya with her hard hitting style, flying spinning elbows and a chin buster. Ellsworth interrupted the match and threw Naomi off the top rope while the referees back was turned and Carmella took advantage with a kick followed by a pin.

7. Randy Orton vs Jinder Mahal [Grudge Match]: +3

Orton decided to pick apart Mahal as much as possible with the absence of the Singh Brothers. He dropped Mahal onto the announce table in a backdrop. Jinder was able to send him into the barrier reversing an RKO, and started to dominate him with knees. Orton hit him with a Superplex, and followed with Lariats and Punches in the corner. He hit him with a Powerslam but was dropped by a knee from Jinder. Orton reversed the Khallas into a DDT from the second rope and went for the RKO, but was rolled up for a two count.

Mahal went for the Khallas again but Orton hit the RKO and was able to pin Jinder.

After the match Orton was attacked by Rusev.

The final match was amazing as well as the tag match. The show got a rating of +15, and was a good Smackdown altogether.
