Best and Worst Segments from WWE RAW feat. Angle, Balor and Rollins

Kurt Angle

Raw saw the continuation of the Roman and Braun feud. Raw started off with Kurt Angle deciding who will face Lesnar at Summerslam.

In this write-up, we will rate each segment in a range between +5 to -5.


Kurt Angle decision: +4

Kurt Angle came out to announce his decision with regards to the opponent of Brock Lesnar. He was about to announce the number one contender, Strowman, Joe and Roman would interrupt him, each trying to get him to listen to his views.

After each of them had put forward their views, Angle made the WWE Universal Title match at Summerslam into a Fatal Fourway. After the announcement, the scene broke down into a brawl between the three. Security and half the locker room had to be called to restrain them. It ended when Strowman hit Roman with a power slam in the middle of the ring.


Finn Balor vs Elias Samson [No DQ Match]: +3

Finn started the match fast, with a number of strikes on Samson. Samson targeted the shoulder of Balor. Samson introduced a chair into the mix and attacked Balor. Finn continued to fight with one good arm and hit him with a Pelle Kick followed by a dropkick. He continued to attack him with a chair, and lined him up for the Coup de Grace and hit it. But just after that, Bray Wyatt interfered and hit Balor with the Sister Abigail. Elias was able to cover him with one arm for the win.

Enzo Amore vs Big Cass: +1

Enzo got taken out by Big Cass, under a barrage of blows and pinned him after an Empire Elbow. When Big Show came to save Enzo, Cass put him away as well. He hit him with two Empire Elbows.


Nia Jax vs Emma: -2

Emma was unable to impress in her opportunity, as Nia Jax took out Emma with a Running Senton.

Tozawa Promo:  +2

Tozawa was interrupted by Neville. Neville insulted him and was taken out with an Enzuigiri followed by a Senton. Daivari took advantage of the distraction and attacked both of them.


Sasha Banks vs Bayley: +4

Sasha and Bayley had a really amazing match. This was the best match that Bayley had in recent memory. The two brawled, and Sasha tried to lock in the Bank Statement. Bayley and Sasha held nothing back and gave it their all showing the WWE fans a new side of Bayley. Sasha went for the Frog Splash but Bayley reversed and got the pin.

Jason Jordan vs Curt Hawkins: +3

Hawkins never stood a chance. There was no other result possible as Jordan threw Hawkinsa around with Suplex after Suplex, Spear and a Vicious throwing neck breaker finisher, yet unnamed.


The Revival vs Anderson and Gallows: +2

The Revival tried to isolate both Gallows and Anderson and had a good match against them. The exchanged blows, and the Hardy Boyz came out to distract Gallows and Anderson. The Revival hit the Shatter Machine for the win.

After the match, the Hardy Boyz took out the Revival.

Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose vs Miz and the Miztourage: +4

Dean and Seth had obvious trust issues when they started the match, with Dean not forgetting or forgiving Rollins’ betrayal of the Shield. However once the match went underway, they displayed great team ability. Rollins hit Bo with a huge Back Body Drop but was unable to tag and got hit by a reverse neckbreaker. Miz hit Seth with a huge DDT and followed it with the “Yes” Kicks. Rollins finally tagged in Ambrose and took out Dallas and Axel.

Rollins finally tagged in Ambrose and took out Dallas and Axel. He dived on Miz and put him the timekeeper’s area. He hit an elbow on Dallas, Seth took out the Miz but hit a surprise Skull Crushing Finale on Ambrose. Seth saved the match and Seth and Dean hit twin Suicide Dives on the Miztourage. Ambrose hit the Dirty Deeds on Miz to pick up the win.

This Raw was an amazing show with three +4 segments. It got a rating of +21.
