Today’s Rumour Mill features the news of Diego Costa’s impending exit from Chelsea and Barcelona’s shock move for a Liverpool star.


Costa’s Chelsea days done and dusted

According to the Daily Star, Diego Costa could move to AC Milan on loan this summer with a permanent move to Atletico Madrid in January. His Chelsea days seemed to have ended after he received a text message from Conte saying his services are no longer required at the club.

Chelsea have completed the signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid and he will be the main man to lead the frontline for The Blues this season.


Chelsea to offload another one of their young talents

Chelsea are prepared to cash out on Danish defender Andreas Christensen to Sevilla as the Spanish club prepares for a £13.4 million deal to get the player on board reports The Express.

The 21-year-old has spent two seasons on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach and is looking to break into Chelsea’s first team but the report states a deal has been agreed with Sevilla over a move for the Danish international.


French giants desperate for Chilean international

According to The Sun, PSG have sent Sporting Director Antero Henrique to London to broker a deal for Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez is yet to sign an extension at Arsenal which means he is allowed to talk to clubs in January regarding a free move away from the Emirates. Manchester City are also chasing the Chilean and now we wait and see where the Chilean’s future lies.

The report also adds that PSG are chasing Barcelona’s Neymar with Unai Emery instructing the club to activate the Brazilian’s £195 million release clause. The story further states Neymar is looking for a fresh challenge and is prepared a move to French capital.

Arsenal make breakthrough as German looks to stay put with the Gunners

According to The Sun, Arsenal are growing increasingly confident of keeping hold of Mesut Ozil as they are said to offer him wages of £280,000-a-week. The report adds the German demanded wages of £350,000-a-week but looks to settle for £280k making him the clubs highest earner.

Anthony Martial moving away from Manchester

According to the Daily Mail, Wolfsburg and Inter Milan have both approached Manchester United about taking Anthony Martial on loan. The Frenchman had a poor season at Manchester United and looks to revive himself as the Red Devils lack attacking options with the departure of Wayne Rooney and an injury to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Mourinho is said to be happy with Lukaku and Rashford upfront but Martial adds a whole new dimension to their attack which may convince the manager to hold onto him.

Barcelona make shock move for Liverpool star as the Reds fight to keep hold

Barcelona have bid £72 million for Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho which the Reds are said to have rejected as they believe he is worth much more considering his contract with the club is till 2022, reports the Daily Mail.

Coutinho is viewed as a long term replacement to Andres Iniesta who is entering the final year of his contract at the Camp Nou.
