ICC Champions Trophy Semi-Final: India vs Bangladesh – Probable XI

Kohli and Dhoni celebrate

The second semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy will be played between India and Bangladesh at Edgbaston, Birmingham on June 15th.

India is having a great tournament except for a rare off day against Sri Lanka. After a disappointing loss to the Islanders, the defending Champions strongly came back against the Proteas who failed to retaliate to an outstanding all-round performance by the Men In Blue which propelled them to the semifinals.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, surprised everyone with their performance against the Kiwis where they knocked the Black Caps out of the tournament. Luck also favoured the Bangladeshi Tigers as Australia failed to win against England after their two matches that were washed out due to rain which allowed Bangladesh to move into the semis.

In a warm-up game before the Champions Trophy, India defeated Bangladesh by a huge margin of 240 runs. India have a strong batting and bowling lineup in comparison to Bangladesh and are hence favourites to progress to the final. The Tigers require a magical performance from their players to knock the defending champions out of the Champions Trophy.
