Today’s Rumour Mill features the news of Bayern Munich upping their interest in Arsenal star Alexis Sanchez and Wayne Rooney likely to see out his Manchester United contract.
Red Devil likely to see out his United contract
According to the Daily Mail, Wayne Rooney is looking to stay put at Manchester United for one more season, this will allow him to see out his contract and open up many more doors next season.
The transfer window in China opens in July so he has a month to decide whether he wants to move to the Far East or no. Moving to Everton is hanging in the balance because the Merseyside club are unlikely to match Rooney’s wages of 250,000-a-week.
Tottenham slap £60 million price tag on star
Manchester City’s move for defender Kyle Walker is on the verge of collapse after Spurs slapped a £60 million valuation on the player, writes The Sun. The England international signed a 5-year extension just last year, but that hasn’t stopped Pep Guardiola from showing interest in the player.
Walker is keen on a move to the blue half of Manchester which would see his wages double from his current £75,000-a-week. However, Spurs believe the player is better valued after seeing Liverpool’s interest in Virgil van Dijk priced at £60 million.
Manchester United offer Real Madrid ultimatum on star
Manchester United had a £52.4 million offer for Alvaro Morata rejected by Real Madrid and now the Red Devils are ready to offer Los Blancos £60 million in a take it or leave it offer, reports The Guardian.
The report further adds Morata is a prime target for Jose Mourinho after Antonio Griezmann confirmed that he will not be leaving Atletico Madrid.
Conte decided last November that Diego had to go
Following reports about Conte sacking Diego Costa by text message on various sources including Sky Sports, The Mirror now states it was decided in November that Costa had to leave at the end of the season due to his lack of commitment to Chelsea.
Costa has stated if he leaves Chelsea it will be for Atletico Madrid however with the club’s transfer ban in place it looks like AC Milan will be a likely destination for the striker. With Chelsea looking to re-sign Lukaku and get him back on board at Stamford Bridge.
Bayern Munich up interest in Gunners star
Bayern Munich are prepared to offer Alexis Sanchez wages of £350,000-a-week making him the highest paid player at the club, reports The Mirror. The fee the German club are prepared to Arsenal is said to be around £40 million and Sanchez’s agent is working on the deal to ensure his client gets the best out of the situation.
Arsenal are desperate to hold onto to the Chilean, however, with the club not offering Sanchez his asking price of £300,000-a-week and with no action of Champions League football next season, it’s looking very dull for Arsenal.
