ICC Champions Trophy 2017 – Key Players: New Zealand v Bangladesh

New Zealand Bangladesh key Players

New Zealand take on Bangladesh on Friday in a do or die match for both sides. Let’s have a look at the players to watch out for in the all-important contest.

NZ V BAN – KEY PLAYERS:

KEY BATSMAN – TAMIM IQBAL

The stylish and experienced left-hand batsman has been in great touch in this tournament. Williamson might be one of the Fab Four, but the way Tamim has stood up for Bangladesh in pressure situations gets him the nod ahead of the Kiwi. He has had a key role to play in the resurgence of the bay nation in One Day cricket. The opener has already notched up 223 runs in 2 matches with a sublime century included. Tamim Iqbal’s performance with the bat will be key if Bangladesh are to upset New Zealand.

KEY ALL ROUNDER – COREY ANDERSON

The powerful batsman hasn’t yet clicked with the bat, but he was useful with the ball picking up 3 wickets in New Zealand’s previous outing against England. He was once the holder of the record for the fastest ODI hundred. Corey Anderson has been pretty handy with the bat on a number occasions for New Zealand in the past. When he gets going he is quite a sight to watch and has proved to be incredibly destructive. He would like to repeat his past performances and guide his team home.

KEY BOWLER – ADAM MILNE

The tearaway pace bowler has been New Zealand’s chief wicket-taker in this edition of the Champions Trophy with 5 wickets. He gave them the perfect start against Australia with 2 quick wickets before the rain played spoilsport. Milne was expensive against England but still picked up 3 important wickets. He has been one of the bowlers who have generated a lot of excitement since debut. His incredible pace and sheer talent make him a bowler to watch out for in this match.
