Champions Trophy 2017: India vs Sri Lanka Probable XI

Indian players shake hands

India Vs Sri Lanka face off in their second game in Group B at Kennington Oval in London on Thursday.

Having crushed arch-rivals Pakistan by 124 runs in their opening fixture, Virat Kohli and Co. are high on confidence ahead of the important clash against the neighbors. On the other hand, Sri Lanka is under tremendous pressure having suffered a big defeat against Proteas and this game will be important in deciding their fate in the tournament.

Things are not looking good for the Sri Lankans as their stand-in captain Tharanga, the only batsman who looked in good touch against South Africans has been banned for two games due to slow over-rate. However, the return of talismanic captain Angelo Matthews will boost the morale of the Sri Lankans.

On the other hand, Indians will be looking to win the game and secure a spot in the next round of the tournament. Virat Kohli had said that the final XI against Pakistan was selected keeping conditions and opposition in mind and that has made our task of predicting the probable XI much more difficult.

Let’s have a look at the probable XI players from both teams.
