ICC Champions Trophy 2017: Probable XI for the opening clash between England and Bangladesh

England Bangladesh

The ICC Champions Trophy will kick start on 1st June with the clash between England and Bangladesh being the first fixture of the mega event which will be played at the Kennington Oval in London. While the hosts England have just wrapped up the 3 match ODI series with South Africa winning it by 2-1, the other participating sides have been playing their respective warm-up matches and adapting to the English conditions.

England won the first two matches of the ODI series which served as an ideal platform to test their combinations before the Champions Trophy. However, they lost the last match after their top order collapsed to 20/5 before Bairstow and Willey propelled them to a score of 153 in 31.1 overs. South Africa easily chased down the target. Most of the English players have been in great touch and they present a strong case to clinch the title as they will be playing in the home conditions.
