Twitter reacted to Manchester City’s 3-1 win over West Brom as Zabaleta bid farewell

City fans laud Zabaleta

Manchester City beat West Brom 3-1 as they bid farewell to one of their modern day legends Pablo Zabaleta who will leave the club at the end of this season after 9 years of sweat, blood and tears.

The ‘Honorary Manc’ as he is fondly called did not start the game as Guardiola opted to go for Fernandinho at right back for the start of the game who was impressive. He also started Jesus and Aguero up front for only the second time of the season. The decision paid off with Aguero key in all three goals, assisiting the third whereas Jesus scored the opener and assisted the second. De bruyne was impressive too, doing the hard work to set up Jesus for the opener in the 27th minute and deftly scored the second two minutes later.
