Barcelona defeated Villarreal 4-1 to keep the pressure on Real Madrid in the hunt for the La Liga spot. Neymar and Messi netted in the first half before Suarez and Messi’s second goal wrapped up things in the second half to keep the Catalans well and truly in contention for the title. FC Barcelona’s MSN trio in Messi, Neymar and Suarez is the most lethal trio in the footballing world right now and have once again proven their worth on the big stage.
Messi, Neymar and Suarez’s goal ensured that all three of them have now racked up 102 goals for the club, thereby reaching the century. And to top things off, this is the third season in succession that the three superstars have reached this milestone.
When 11 + 10 + 9 = 100!

In the 2014/15 season, the MSN trio shared 122 goals between them and the following season in 2015/16 they went on to score mammoth 132 goals for the club. Though this season the goalscoring tally seems to be a bit low compared to the last two seasons but the 100 goals scored between them is equal to the number of goals scored by Atletico Madrid and Juventus this season, which explains how deadly they still are in front of goal.
Messi’s brace also made him the first player to reach the half-century mark in the top five leagues this season. The Argentine now has 51 goals under his belt in all competitions this season.
