This article will look at the Heroes and Zeroes from the match between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Rising Pune Supergiant.

Jaydev Unadkat was the man of the moment for RPS as he defended 13 runs off the last over in the most elegant way possible against SRH – by picking up a hattrick! With this win, RPS have booked themselves a play-offs berth!

Here is a look at the Heroes and Zeroes from the game.

HEROES:

Ben Stokes

In a match winning performance, Ben Stokes was the hero for RPS yet again. He smashed 39 off 25 balls with 3 sixes with the bat. With the ball, he scalped the first three wickets of SRH that also included the all-important wicket of David Warner who looked dangerous.

Jaydev Unadkat

Unadkat bowled the spell of his career, as he scalped 2 wickets in the 18th over of Yuvraj and Naman Ojha. In the last over, he was asked to defend 13 and he did it in style, taking a hat-trick and bowling a maiden! He ended with magnificent figures of 5/30 as RPS won the game by 12 runs.

Siddarth Kaul

The young pacer bowled one of the most memorable spells of his career this evening. He gave away just 29 runs and scalped 4 wickets. He sent back MS Dhoni who was smashing the ball hard to raise the ante for Pune in the slog overs. He also sent back skipper Steven Smith and Dan Christian in the process and ended with his career best figures. Kaul definitely did not deserve to be on the losing side tonight.

ZEROES:

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar

The go-to bowler for SRH throughout the season had a bad day at the office this evening. Kumar went for 39 runs in his 4 overs and did not take a single wicket.

Kane Williamson

The Kiwi skipper walked in at number 3 and struck a fine four off the very first ball he faced. Off the next delivery, he tried to play a wide delivery by Stokes and ended up edging the ball to MS Dhoni behind the wicket.

Rahul Tripathi

He has been RPS’s most consistent batsman of the season with runs in almost every game. Today, however, he failed to score more than a run as he was run out trying to sneak in a non-existent run.
