The M.Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru will host its final league game as hosts Royal Challengers Bangalore will take on Kolkata Knight Riders in the 46th match of the VIVO IPL 10.
The two teams will have entirely different goals as they battle it out in the Garden City of the country. While RCB are no longer in the running for qualification to the knock-outs after losing nine from twelve games, a win for KKR would seal their spot in the play-offs. The Knights were flying high before losing the last two games which have hit their aspirations for a top-2 finish. They still are second placed with 14 points from 11 games. On the other hand, languishing at the bottom, Kohli’s boys will play for pride with an aim to avoid finishing with the wooden spoon.
The two teams have met 19 times so far in the history of IPL, with KKR leading by a slender margin of 10-9. The last time they met (April 23rd 2017), it was catastrophic for RCB after they were shot out for a paltry 49, the lowest score across all seasons of IPL. KKR recovered splendidly to win the match after Kohli & Co. restricted them to 131. Nothing to lose, RCB will eye revenge for the humiliation they faced at the hands of the same opposition earlier this season, something which KKR will be wary of.
THEREBY, WE TAKE A LOOK AT THE PROBABLE XI OF BOTH THE TEAMS-
