IPL 2017 – Kolkata Knight Riders vs. Rising Pune Supergiant Probable XI

Probable XI for KKR vs. RPS

After a Ben Stokes Special on May Day, Rising Pune Supergiant (RPS) set their eyes on conquering the Knightriders’ fortress in Kolkata. The RPS outfit is peaking just at the right time winning five of their last six matches while Kolkata Knight Riders, sitting pretty at the second spot in the Points table, are heading into this game after being grounded into submission by a determined David Warner in their backyard.

The last encounter between the two teams at the MCA stadium, Pune proved to be a one-sided affair as the chase-hungry duo of Gambhir and Uthappa made a mockery of an 183 run target which they chased down with 11 balls left in the game.

RPS were a heavy batting side right from the start but their bowlers have risen to the occasion, especially in the last two matches they have been phenomenal.

The only reason of concern for KKR is their catching. The Knight Rider players dropped a couple of catches against SRH which ultimately cost them the match. They even dropped a few in their last clash against RPS but were lucky as their batsman were in prime form. KKR will surely want to put up an improved catching display this time around otherwise who knows we might witness another storm blowing them away.

Let’s have a look at the probable starting XI for both the teams for the Kolkata leg of their rivalry
