Held in Sacramento, California a day after the WWE PPV Payback, here are the best and worst segments from Raw.

In this write-up, I will rate each segment in a range between +5 to -5.

1. Alexa Bliss Celebration: -2

The show started with Alexa celebrating her winning the Raw Women’s title in the ring surrounded by the Women’s Division, whom she took turns to insult.

This resulted in an impromptu eight woman tag team match, with Alexa teaming with Alicia Fox, Emma and Nia Jax to face Mickie James, Bayley, Sasha and Dana. The match ended when Alexa Bliss took advantage of the chaos to pick up the win with a DDT on Bayley.

2. Enzo vs Gallows: -4

Anderson and Gallows tried to attack Enzo and Cass before the match started, but were thrown out of the ring. Anderson dominated Enzo for the maximum part of the match, but he almost got put away, with Enzo using a Small Package. A distraction by Karl Anderson, however, allowed Luke Gallows to put him away and pick up the win.

3. In Ring Confrontation: +3

Seth, Dean Ambrose, Finn Balor and the Miz all came out to challenge for the Universal Title, but as Brock was not available, Dean talked to Kurt to make a Number One Contenders match between Ambrose, Balor and the Miz for the Intercontinental Title.

4. Kurt and Bray Promo: +2

Kurt came out to address the situation of Roman and Braun, both of whom had injured themselves at Payback. He was then interrupted by Bray Wyatt who cut a promo about his future dominance in Raw.

5. Noam Dar, Brian Kendrick, Tony Nese vs Rich Swann, Akira Tozawa and Jack Gallagher: -2

In a match where Tozawa was dominated for a large part of the time, the match felt like it was going nowhere for an enormous amount of time though it ended well, with Gallagher picking up the pin over Brian Kendrick.

6. Cesaro and Sheamus Explanation: +2

Cesaro and Sheamus explained that they felt the Hardy Boys stole their moment at Wrestlemania, so they turned on the Hardy Boys. They ran away when Matt and Jeff tried to attack them in the ring.

7. Heath Slater vs Apollo Crews: -2

Crews put Slater away with an Enzuigiri and a Spinning Powerbomb.

8. Austin Aries vs TJ Perkins: -2

Aries was dominated by TJP with his knee being the focus. Aries, however, fought back hitting Perkins with a Pendulum elbow and locked in the Last Chancery for the win, as TJP tapped out.

9. Finn Balor vs Miz vs Seth Rollins: +4

The match saw Miz trying to avoid Finn and Seth, to take the opportunity when no one was looking. Balor hit a combination manoeuvre, with Finn dropkicking Rollins who had Miz in the DDT position, thus hitting the DDT on the Miz. Miz targeted Seth’s knee and locked in

The Miz targeted Seth’s knee and locked in the Figure four and it was broken up by Finn. Finn was hit with the Avada ki Devra by Seth. Samoa Joe interfered in the match just when Seth was looking like he might win it and took out Seth, and Balor was attacked by Wyatt, and Miz took advantage of it and won the Number One Contender’s Match.

This Raw was one of the worst, leaving much to be desired. The main event was the only good match. It got a rating of -1 and this is the first time Raw has been rated in the negative.
