Sunrisers Hyderabad played true to their defending champions tag as they thrashed Kings XI Punjab by 26 runs. The SRH top order of Warner-Dhawan and Williamson starred with the bat as they put up a mammoth 207 on board.
The excellent batting performance was ably supported by some equally good bowling as each of their pacemen trio of Bhuvi, Nehra and Kaul chipped in with regular wickets to keep KXIP at bay. The SRH fielders weren’t up to the mark as they were almost made to pay for their sins by an unlucky Shaun Marsh who didn’t get able support from the other end and waged a lone battle with his blistering 84 off 50 balls. Rashid Khan was adjudged Man of the Match for his brilliant spell of 4-0-16-1.
