Everton vs Chelsea – Team news, Lineups and TV Guide

Eden Hazard enter
Chelsea takes on Everton in the Premier League game looking to maintain their 4 point cushion over nearest competitors Tottenham. Chelsea are riding on their 4-1 victory against Southampton and would be looking to carry their winning momentum. Everton, on the other hand, would look to sneak a win at Goodison Park. Chelsea thrashed the Toffees 5-0 in the reverse fixture at Stamford Bridge and Ronald Koeman’s men would look to take vengeance.

Chelsea’s last challenge
Chelsea looked to have the title in their bag but a 2-0 defeat against Manchester United blew the title race wide open. Antonio Conte’s men came back strongly and won convincingly against Southampton with star striker Diego Costa back in the goals, scoring a brace. Eden Hazard and Cesc Fabregas too starred in the win and Conte would hope his star men do the job for him again.
Chelsea Team News
Gary Cahill made a goalscoring comeback against Southampton and is expected to continue alongside Luiz and Azpilicueta. Antonio Conte has a full squad to choose from and is not expected to tinker with starting XI. Cesc Fabregas dazzled against the Saints and is expected to retain his place.

Can Koeman derail Chelsea’s party?
Everton come into the match on the back of a goalless draw against West Ham, not ideal before taking on Premier league leaders, Chelsea. Ronald Koeman’s men have already secured a Europa League spot for next year, so not sure what to expect from the Toffees. All eyes will be on star striker Romelu Lukaku, who has been constantly linked to a move back to Chelsea and perhaps can ruffle a few more feathers with a goal against his former club.
Everton Team News
Midfielder Muhamed Besic is building up his fitness after a year out with a serious knee injury but James McCarthy (hamstring), Ramiro Funes Mori, Yannick Bolasie ( knee), Seamus Coleman (broken leg) and Aaron Lennon all remain sidelined. Phil Jagielka is expected to start alongside Ashley Williams in central defence.

Expected Lineups

Chelsea XI (3-4-3): Courtois, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Cahill, Moses, Kante, Matic, Alonso, Fabregas, Hazard, Costa
Everton XI (4-4-2): Stekelenburg, Holgate, Jagielka, Williams, Baines, Gueye, Schneiderlin, Davies, Barkley, Lukaku, Mirallas
