Best & Worst Segments from this week’s WWE RAW feat. Strowman, Jericho & the Miz

Seth Rollins stands up on the podium

As WWE head straight for the first Post Mania Pay-Per-View, there are several feuds that need to be ironed out after Wrestlemania and the Superstar Shakeup. Both created and ended Rivalries, and this Raw saw some important matches.

In this write-up, I will rate each segment in a range between +5 to -5.

1. The Miz TV and Highlight Reel: +2

Chris Jericho started Raw with the Highlight Reel but was interrupted by Miz and Maryse who wanted to host Miz TV. This was followed by Dean Ambrose coming out to interrupt Miz TV with Ambrose Asylum, and gifted Jericho with a jacket. He hit Miz with the Dirty Deeds before leaving the ring.

2. Matt Hardy vs Sheamus: +2

After jeff beat Cesaro last week, this week saw Matt taking on Sheamus. The match was a really good one, that saw Matt Hardy dominate. It was Jeff Hardy who caused a distraction helping Matt to pick up the win.

3. Neville and TJ Perkins vs Austin Aries and Jack Gallagher: +3

In a quick fire match, the four cruiserweights put on a match with spot after spot. Aries was extremely fired up today and controlled the entire match, and won the match with a Discus Five-arm.

4. Braun Strowman vs Kalisto [Dumpster Match]: +4

In a questionable decision, Kalisto had challenged Braun in a dumpster match. Braun dominated Kalisto throughout, throwing him about the ring. Kalisto won the match with a lucky spot, where Strowman went feet first into the dumpster. After that, however, he totally destroyed Kalisto with slam after slam, before locking him in a dumpster and throwing it off the ramp.

5. Dana Brooke vs Alicia Fox: -4

Dana and Alicia had a short match that was sort of pointless, and Dana won with a Michinoku Driver.

6. Finn Balor and Cass and Seth Rollins vs The Club and Samoa Joe: +3

Joe and Anderson and Gallows took out Enzo before the match started, resulting in Finn Balor replacing him. Seth debuted the new finishing move in the match and used it to win the match, with a high knee strike.

7. Alexa Promo: -3

Alexa delivered a promo against Bayley. She is the best woman WWE have on the mike. Bayley came out and her promo however left a lot to be desired. Sasha came out to defend her friend and got a match against Sasha. Alexa ended the match by walking out of her match with Sasha.

8. Curt Hawkins vs Apollo Crews: +1

This match was not exactly a squash one. Hawkins got some offence in but in the end Apollo came out on top.

9. Dean Ambrose and Chris Jericho vs Miz and Bray Wyatt: -3

At first Miz's partner did not appear, and Miz fought in what was a handicap match for a large part of the main event. Afterwards, however, Bray Wyatt appeared, with seemingly no motive, giving both Ambrose and Jericho Sister Abigail's kiss. He then took Miz by surprise as well giving him one too. This seemed very last minute and without any reason.

This Raw was okay at best with the main event being confusing. As the last Raw before Payback, it seemed very disorganised. It got a rating of +5 and the best moments came from the segments of Jericho and Ambrose as well as the Braun and Kalisto segment.
