After bludgeoning the Kings XI Punjab bowling attack, Mumbai Indians are riding high with confidence. Out of the six matches they've played, they've lost just one and the same came in their first match.
Team News: Mumbai Indians
Jos Buttler and Parthiv Patel have been phenomenal, giving their side a good start with the bat. The duo has scored runs consistently and were at it again when they buccaneered 81 runs off the first six overs. Buttler, new to opening, has made batting look easy and his meaty sixes are proving to be a treat. Nitish Rana has been a revelation and features in the top 5 run-scorers this season. He notched up yet another half-century and struck seven maximums against a hapless Punjab attack. Pollard and the Pandya brothers have come good whenever required.
Their pace battery has surprisingly gone for runs in the last two matches with Malinga and Bumrah receiving the stick. The former, who has experience under his belt, has gone for plenty and conceded 58 runs in his last outing. McClenaghan has been impressive with the ball and barring his last over, where he went for 28 runs, the Kiwi pacer has done a commendable job. Harbhajan Singh has been very economical and it was a surprise to see the offie bowl just 2 overs despite going for just 12 runs.
Team News: Delhi Daredevils
Delhi Daredevils have had their ups and downs in the ongoing tournament. The young side led by Zaheer Khan has shown mettle with the bat but lack the same when it comes to bowling. They went for too many runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad and that led to their downfall. They have secured just 4 points from their five matches and Zaheer will be looking for an improved performance from his boys against the table toppers. Barring Morris and Nadeem, who have been exceptional with the ball, Delhi needs some support. Cummins and Mishra have to come good for the visitors if they have any intentions of moving up the table. The batting looks formidable with youngsters like Samson, Iyer and Pant performing well.
Top Fantasy Batsman: Jos Buttler
— Mumbai Indians (@mipaltan) April 20, 2017
The English batsman has been a different batsman altogether since he started to open. He has given Mumbai the much-needed starts with the bat which they have been lacking for the past 2-3 seasons.
Top Fantasy Bowler: Chris Morris
The South African all-rounder has troubled the batsmen with pace and bounce. He took 4 wickets against Sunrisers and was the only bowler whose economy was under 7. Against Mumbai Indians, Morris has a good record and will be looking to continue the same.
Top Fantasy All-Rounder: Hardik Pandya
The hard-hitting all-rounder has been in good nick with both bat and ball. His purple patch is good signs for both Mumbai Indians and India ahead of the Champions Trophy. He hasn't been dismissed yet and that goes to show his form with the bat.
Top Punt Player: Nitish Rana
The Orange Cap holder has been in sensational form, smacking fours and sixes for fun. The southpaw has been a revelation for the Mumbai side and he will be hoping to come good against a depleted Delhi bowling attack.
The match starts at 4:00 PM IST with viewers having the option of watching it live in either Set Max (Hindi) or Sony Six HD (English). Live streaming can also be watched on Hotstar.com.
