The defending Champions, Sunrisers Hyderabad, put up an all-round clinical performance to hand Delhi Daredevils a 15-run defeat in their Hyderabad.
Riding on Kane Williamson’s blistering 89, Sunrisers put up a daunting 191 on the board. Dhawan, too, contributed with the bat with his 70-run effort as he, along with Williamson, rescued SRH from a tricky situation at 12/1.
Dhawan-Williamson’s 136 run stand was backed by the Hyderabad bowlers as well as the fielders to restrict the Daredevils at 176/5. Young Hyderabadi pacer, Mohammed Siraj, too got into the action as he went home with two scalps to his name.
