Watch: Best and Worst Segments from Monday Night Raw (17th April)

After the Superstar Shakeup, Raw this week saw how the weekly show will be progressing, with the new superstars still finding their feet at their new home. It also saw several amazing matches.

In this write-up, I will rate each segment in a range between +5 to -5.

1. Braun Strowman Segment: +2

Braun Strowman declared in the opening segment of the show, that he not only gave Roman a separated shoulder but also a couple of cracked ribs. Kurt Angle announced that Roman will face Braun in a match at Payback.

2. Samoa Joe vs Chris Jericho: +2

For this match, Seth Rollins was on commentary. Samoa Joe and Jericho went back and forth for a while before Jericho tried to lock in the Walls of Jericho on him. Joe locked in the Coquina Clutch on him, for him to tap out. After the match, Joe and Rollins had banter about their upcoming match.

3. Braun Strowman: +2

Strowman attacked R-Truth and Goldust backstage.

4. The Club vs Enzo and Cass: -4

Enzo and Cass had a back and forth match. The Club dominated for a large part of the match but after Cass came in after the hot tag things seemed to change. Anderson, however, used the ropes for some unique offence to take out Enzo for the 3 count.

5. Miz TV: +3

The Miz invited Dean out to MizTV. Miz and Ambrose had a good face off. Both are really good with promos and got the crowd going. Like all WWE talk shows, it ended with the set being destroyed with the Miz retreating.

6. Jack Gallagher vs TJ Perkins: -3

Perkins won in his match against Gallagher, using the ropes for a cheap shot. The real story was outside the ring, however, where Austin Aries was taken out by Neville during the match.

7. Women's Fatal Fourway: +2

The match saw four of Raw's Women's division go at it for becoming the number one contender for Bayley's title. Nia dominated for a large part of the match but was outsmarted by the remaining women. In the end, it was the Alexa Bliss who won the match, by kicking Nia out after Nia took out Sasha.

8. Curt Hawkins vs Finn Balor: +1

In another squash match, Hawkins was squashed literally by Balor with a Coup de Grace for the win.

9. Bray Wyatt Promo: -4

Bray Wyatt has lost too many matches, and his promos have started to mean less and less. Unless he wins this House of Horrors match, it will be difficult to take him seriously.

10. Cesaro and Jeff Hardy: +2

Jeff Hardy picked up the win against Cesaro in a fantastic match. Hardy won after hitting Cesaro with a Whisper in the Wind, Twist of Fate and Swanton Bomb, one after the other. Jeff Hardy remains one of the best in the ring.

11. Big Show vs Braun Strowman: +5

Big Show and Braun Strowman flying around the ring like cruiserweights is really unnerving. The match went long as both tried everything. But it was the ring that broke, after a Superplex by Braun on the Big Show. The ring completely collapsed from the impact, as Braun stood strong in the remains of the ring.

This Raw was mediocre with the main event stealing the show completely. It got a rating of +8 and had good matches.
