Kolkata Knightriders maintained their unbeaten record against Sunrisers Hyderabad in their fortress, the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. Sunrisers’ winless record at the Eden came back to haunt them again as a late Bipul Sharma blitz wasn’t enough to prevent a 17-run loss for the side from Hyderabad. This clinical win takes KKR to the top of the table.

Here’s a look at the Heroes and Zeroes from the game:
Robin Uthappa (68 runs of 39 balls)
The Stylish batsman from Karnataka took full advantage of an umpiring howler to smack 68 runs from 39 deliveries which included 5 fours and 4 sixes. His blistering innings provided the much-needed momentum to the Knightriders who were going at a rate of 7-an over after the dismissal of their captain.
Sunil Narine (4-0-18-1)
The mystery man from West Indies did his job perfectly as he choked the run flow for SRH while snaffling Deepak Hooda, by having him stumped by Uthappa behind the stumps. Though he didn’t fire with the bat this time but he very much compensated that with his outstanding bowling effort.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar (4-0-20-3)
The Purple cap holder of the last season was at his usual miserly-best as he executed his uncanny Yorkers to perfection to scalp three KKR wickets while giving away only 20 runs in his quota of 4 overs. His wickets of Pandey and Grandhome at the death ensured that KKR didn’t run-away with match in the first innings itself.
Gautam Gambhir (15 runs of 16 balls)
The batsman with the joint-most half-centuries in IPL didn’t really get going during his 16-ball stay at the crease. Though he struck a couple of eye-catching boundaries, he was unable to replicate his last match heroics. His dismissal for a paltry 15 sucked the momentum out of the KKR innings.
Shikhar Dhawan (23 runs of 22 balls)
The Southpaw emulated the sluggish Chris Gayle against MI yesterday as he scored an almost run-a-ball 23 of 22 balls. He was looking determined for a long innings today before holing out in the deep of the bowling of Yusuf Pathan in an effort to up the ante of the SRH chase.

Ben Cutting ( 4-0-41-1 & 15 runs of 10 balls)
The Brisbane All-rounder had a day to forget at the Eden Gardens today. First, he was hammered for 41 runs in his four overs while picking up a solitary wicket of Uthappa and then got out for a meagre 15 of 10 balls just when his team needed him to take the responsibility, after the dismissal of Yuvraj, and finish the match for them.
