Real Madrid came back from a goal down at the Allianz Arena to win their Champions League Quarter Final against Bayern Munich 2-1 thanks to a brace by record-breaking Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese become the first ever player to score 100 goals in UEFA club competition.

The forward silenced critics who had been criticising him about his lack of goals lately and his inability to influence big games quite that often. Incidentally, almost exactly a year ago, he broke another Champions League record in yet another Quarter-final. In a 3-0 win against Wolfsburg, he scored all the goals and became the first player ever to net three hat-tricks in a single UCL season.
