Delhi Daredevils thrashed the Rising Pune Supergiant by 97 runs to register their first win of this year's IPL. Delhi scored 205 on the back of a brilliant century by Sanju Samson and some lusty blows by Chris Morris. Pune could never get going and their innings unfolded for 108.
Here we look at the Heroes and Zeroes from the game :
1) Sanju Samson

The Kerala batsman was without a half century in his last 15 IPL games, but got back into form in some style as he notched up his maiden IPL fifty. Samson held the Delhi innings together after they lost the wickets of Aditya Tare and Sam Billings, and gave them the much needed impetus. Samson is one of the most talented batsmen in the country, and is tipped to play for India as well, and if he has a good IPL, he could fancy his chances of an India call up.
2) Chris Morris
The South African all rounder smaked 38 runs of just 9 balls with a strike rate of 430 and propelled the Delhi total to 205. Morris came in after Samson fell for a brilliant century, and started hitting Adam Zampa to all parts of the ground. The South African all rounder did not spare Ben Stokes as well, as he went berserk in the final over. Morris also picked up the wicket of Rahul Tripathi and was good with both bat and ball.
3) Zaheer Khan
The legendary left arm pacer rolled back the years with a fine display of fast bowling as he accounted for the wickets of Rahane, Agarwal and Deepak Chahar. Zak also marshalled his troops brilliantly as he led his team to their first victory of the season. If he manages to stay fit for the entire season, he would be extremely valuable to the Delhi side with his experience and skill.
1) Ashok Dinda
Sadists, why do they do this to Dinda every time#RPSvDD

Ashok Dinda is not one of the best T-20 pacers in the country, but the decision of the Pune management to play him ahead of Jaydev Unadkat is baffling. Dinda was taken to the cleaners by Hardik Pandya the other night, and was again hit all over the park by an on fire Sanju Samson. Dinda needs to improve his performances in the upcoming games or risk facing the axe.
2) Aditya Tare
With Shreyas Iyer out for the first few games, Aditya Tare has been given the responsibility of opening the batting alongside Sam Billings. But the Mumbai captain has failed to make the most of his opportunity as he got out for a duck of the bowling of Deepak Chahar. Tare is an experienced campaigner and should look to play with more responsibilty. He would surely get a few more games in the absence of Iyer, and would be looking to deliver and score big.
3) Ben Stokes
The burly all rounder had a game to forget as he conceded 43 runs in his 4 overs and got out for only 2 runs. Stokes was taken to the cleaners by a berserk Chris Morris. While it would be too early to judge the highly talented all rounder, there is no doubt that he needs to perform consistently and justify his price tag. He is an extremely important cog in this Pune side and their chances of winning the tournament depend hugely on the big English all rounder.
