Virat Kohli and Mustafizur Rahman set for IPL comeback

The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) camp must be delighted with the recent progress of their injury-ridden players. First, it was AB de Villiers who announced his return to the IPL with his blistering 89* against KXIP and now it is Virat Kohli, who has given RCB the news that they were waiting for since the conclusion of Ranchi Test between India and Australia.

In an Instagram post, Kohli is featured training hard to strengthen his fitness and has captioned the post with his return date. According to Kohli, he is restless and raring to join his teammates and will return to the cricket field in the home fixture against Mumbai on 14th April.

Can't wait to get back onto the field. Almost there now ??????????. 14th April ?

RCB looked very depleted due to the absence of its key players like Kohli, de Villiers and K L Rahul in its first two encounters. But the return of ABD, and that too in a grand style, and that of Kohli will surely bolster their confidence. Ever since the inception of IPL, Kohli has represented RCB in every season while captaining them from the last four seasons. He has accumulated 4110 runs (the second highest) from 139 games so far at a strike-rate of 130.43. He had a dream run last season in which he compiled a tally of 973 runs. RCB will be hoping for a repeat of such performance from him in this season too.

While Kohli’s return is making waves, another sensation from last year’s IPL is making a comeback. Bangladeshi paceman, Mustafizur Rahman who was fifth in the bowling charts last season, is also ready to join Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Fizz was instrumental in SRH’s title campaign last year. He was held back after Bangladesh's tour of Sri Lanka to get some rest to keep him fit but now all seems fine. His uncanny variations troubled almost every batsman and he is expected to be available for SRH’s next clash against Mumbai Indians on 12th April.
