Defending Champions could not have asked for a better start to their title defence as they overwhelmed last year’s runner-up Royal Challengers Bangalore in the season opener. However, in a tournament like IPL, it does not take much time to shift the momentum from one side to the other and SRH will have to remain on their toes against Gujarat Lions who also bore the brunt of KKR.
As the likes of Tom Moody and David Warner scratch their head to find the best combination, here's the probable XI we think the Sunrisers' think tank are likely to field against Gujarat.
IPL is Back
Shikhar Dhawan form

Openers: David Warner(C) and Shikhar Dhawan
The openers’ position at the top of the batting card has been constant for the SRH and it does not seem to be changing in near future unless there are any injury issues. Captain Warner and in-form Dhawan will be sure-starters and SRH would expect another brisk start from the experienced duo.
Middle Order: Yuvraj Singh, Deepak Hooda, Naman Ojha (WK)
The middle-order is expected to remain the same with Yuvraj providing the combo of solidarity and attacking flair as per requirements. Deepak Hooda has secured his place with a commendable performance against RCB. A young player who scored important runs and took the very important wicket of Chris Gayle cannot be undermined. On top of that, he is an excellent fielder.

Ojha is expected to continue behind the stumps despite his ordinary performance in last game. Even he can smash big sixes if required lower down the order.
All-Rounders: Moises Henriques, Ben Cutting, Bipul Sharma
Moises Henriques and Ben Cutting are gonna remain, permanent members of this line-up if they continue performing like they did in the last match. Both of them are capable of scoring runs at desired pace and their medium fast deliveries can fox most batsmen. Add to that the superb fielding ability of the pair and you will not have a doubt their place in the line-up.
Bipul Sharma overtook Karn Sharma in the pecking order with his heroics last season in the playoffs. Though he did not get to do much in last game, he bowled a beautiful over when he was called upon. So, he is expected to hold his place.

Spinner: Rashid Khan
The 18-year old Afghan sensation showed why he was picked at such high price by SRH. His ability to spin the ball and an almost unidentifiable googly makes him a very potent weapon when defending totals. His performance in the last match is going to boost the confidence of coach Moody on this youngster.
Fast Bowlers: Bhuvaneshwar Kumar, Ashish Nehra
Bhuvaneshwar Kumar is still the bowler that any captain can rely on to save 10 runs in the final over and he is a surety in the line-up. Ashish Nehra was expensive in the first three overs in last game but he showed in the final over that he can be very effective in death overs. He too is expected to retain his place.
So, we foresee an unchanged playing XI for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Only time will tell how close we got to the actual set-up.
