The deal with a supermarket chain has players having items on the back as their names and oversized price stickers corresponding to their squad number. The club’s marketing director, Xiko Melo had this to say, “We are always looking for new partners, innovations, and this work was developed in one of these partnerships. In each game, we will bring different offers.”
For a club that has been trying to make ends meet, this is surely an interesting marketing strategy that has caught global attention. We can now look forward to a lot of minor American clubs copying the same idea in the coming weeks. Safe to say, it is a pretty creative way of advertising and social media has been enjoying seeing something fresh!
