Highlights from WWE Smackdown – April 4 feat. Shinsuke Nakamura and Baron Corbin

Baron Corbin gets back to winning ways

Dean Ambrose and Baron Corbin looked to settle their differences once and for all in a street fight. Ambrose channelled his inner lunatic and sent Corbin into the crowd. Corbin retaliated by putting Ambrose through a table set up on the turnbuckle. Ambrose repaid the favour by hitting an elbow drop on the outside but Corbin capitalised on a lapse of concentration and won after nailing End of Days.

Shinsuke Nakamura debuts on Smackdown

Two-time NXT champion Shinsuke Nakamura made his main roster debut on Smackdown. After months of speculation regarding his place in NXT, Nakamura came out to much fanfare, with fans chanting his name and singing his theme along with the violinist playing the tune in the ring.

All-Wyatt affair ensues

Randy Orton teamed with Luke Harper to take on the Bray Wyatt and the returning Erick Rowan. The match was very strategic with all members being familiar with each other’s styles. Orton and Harper had the upper hand from the beginning and sealed the win despite holographic distracting them momentarily. Orton hit the RKO on Rowan to get the job done.

Shane McMahon and AJ Styles show respect

After their clash at Wrestlemania, both Styles and McMahon were in the ring. McMahon was out to address the universe about the upcoming ‘superstar shakeup’. Styles expressed his desire to stay on the blue brand and called it ‘the house I built’. Furthermore, both men shook hands and acknowledged the war they went through two days ago.
