KL Rahul, who has been in sensational form with the bat for India, will miss the tenth edition of the Indian Premier League owing to a shoulder injury.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have been dealt a huge double blow after KL Rahul might miss out on this year's Indian Premier League. Skipper Virat Kohli is also set to miss the first few matches after injuring his shoulder in the third test against Australia.
Rahul starred with the bat scoring six 50+ scores in the recently concluded series against Australia. Reports have emerged that Rahul is set to undergo surgery in London to be fit for the Champions Trophy which begins in June. Rahul batted with pain during the series after sustaining an injury five weeks ago.
After scripting a famous win in his hometown in the second Test against Australia, Rahul said, "My shoulder gets quite sore. I can't quite dive on the field. There are a few shots that I will have to restrict. I will play within myself. Even I do, it's not that I can’t score, I have all the shots in the book." He added that he will be focussing only on his batting despite his injury.

KL Rahul was Royal Challengers Bengaluru's third highest run-getter behind Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers in last years' edition of the Indian Premier League when the Bengaluru franchise finished as the runners-up losing to Sunrisers Hyderabad in the finals.
