An international friendly between Ivory Coast and Senegal was called off after a mass invasion of the pitch by spectators in which Lamina Gassama of Senegal was rugby tackled by a fan.
The incident happened in the 88th minute of the match when spectators evaded the Security guards and entered the ground, causing chaos in the middle. An individual from amongst the spectators also seemed to rugby tackle Gassama which prompted the referee to cancel the game and send the players back to the changing rooms.

The match was tied at 1-1 when the incident occurred, with Liverpool star Sadio Mane scoring from the spot. Eric Bailly, Wilfried Zaha and Idrissa Gueye were the other Premier League players playing the match.
Senegal have earlier been disqualified from the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations after missiles were thrown onto the pitch by supporters during their play-off match against the same opponents back in 2012.
