The four-match Test series between India and Australia has kept churning out all the essential fodder for media organisations and social media platforms right from the start.
While battling hard on the field, many-a-times players from both the teams have crossed the line. It has only but increased the heat on the cricket field. Whether it’s Ishant’s funny mimic or Steve Smith’s ‘Brain Fade’ moment, the Border-Gavaskar series never lacked the spice factor.
On Day 3 of the fourth Test at Dharamsala, Australia were in all sorts of trouble after losing quick wickets in their second innings. Fighting hard to save the match, Australian skipper Steve Smith cut a frustrated figure seeing his team reeling at 137 for nine. The frustration went to another level when No.11 batsman Hazlewood edged a delivery off Ashwin to fielder Murali Vijay who was standing at the second slip. Vijay caught the ball and quickly walked off the field to resume India’s chase.

However, the on-field umpires went upstairs to the third umpire to confirm the decision. The replays suggested that some part of the ball may have touched the ground due to which the TV umpire ruled the decision in favour of the batsman.
Watching the action from the dressing room, Aussie skipper was seen fuming in the dressing room and was captured using expletives for his Indian opponents. The video quickly went viral on social media.
Interestingly, the not-out decision didn't have any impact on the match as Hazlewood failed to add any more to the Australian total and was dismissed only a ball later by Ashwin.
