‘Ravishing’ Ravindra etches two more records to his name

Ravindra Jadeja is in the midst of the best phase of his cricketing career. The No.1 bowler in tests, who is also third in the Test all-rounder standings has etched his name on two more records.

Jadeja’s famous sword-swing celebration was once again on display after he struck his seventh Test half-century and became the 4th Indian all-rounder and the 24th overall to aggregate more than 3000 runs who also have taken 300+ wickets in international cricket.

In the process, he also became the third cricketer after legendary Kapil Dev (1979-80) and Mitchell Johnson (2008-09) to score more than 500 runs and scalp over 50 wickets in tests in one season.

Jadeja has scored 556 runs in 13 matches this season and has also plucked 68 wickets. He is also the leading wicket-taker in the series with 22 scalps to his name.
