There is an 112 years old history between the two English clubs, with the sides meeting a total 176 times where Manchester United have won 72 times compared to 51 for Chelsea (with 53 draws). But Chelsea's dominance over the past five years has established a remarkable supremacy over the Red Devils.
The Old Trafford-based side has now gone 12 games without success against the men from SW6. Man United's last victory over Chelsea dates back to October 2012, when they prevailed 3-2 at Stamford Bridge. Only twice in their history have United had a longer winless run against one opponent — Leeds United and Liverpool in early 20th century.
#CHEMUN Chelsea are unbeaten in their last 11 League & Cup games vs United (W6, D5) & have only conceded 3 times in the last 9 encounters.

Chelsea has also outscored Manchester United 22-12 in last 12 meetings and have let the opposition score only three times in the past 4 years. That’s an embarrassing number for a club of United’s stature and considering the quality in their squad over the years.
The two sides will meet one more time this year, in mid-April at Old Trafford — probably with different priorities heading towards the final part of the 2016-17 season. But Mourinho and his men should be looking to end Chelsea's five-year hoodoo over them.
