In what was supposed to be the best FA Cup matchup of the season but as it were, turned out to be an anti-climax. Chelsea beat 10-man Manchester United 1-0 at the Bridge with N'Golo Kante proving to be the difference on the night.
The heat was up from the minute Micheal Oliver blew the whistle for kickoff, with Hazard being closely marked by Phil Jones. Mourinho opted for a 5-3-2 formation in the absence of their stars – Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Wayne Rooney. De Gea's quick reflexes kept the Reds fighting after he produced brilliant saves off shots from Hazard and Cahill.

Hazard proved to be a constant threat and Conte even accused United of targeting his playmaker, all leading up to the controversial sending off of Ander Herrera. Even Mourinho and Conte couldn't keep off each other.
Mourinho, wasn't well received at the Bridge, with the section behind the dugout chanting "F**k off Mourinho". But Mourinho quickly put them into place reminding them of the number of titles he won for them.

Referring to the chants of Chelsea fans who called him 'Judas', he said: "Until the moment they have a manager that wins four Premier Leagues for them, I'm the number one. Until then, Judas is number one."
He wasn't too pleased with the refereeing either. He said: "I don't want to go in that direction. In four matches he [Oliver] has given three penalties and a red card. I cannot change that. I shook his hand and said many congratulations. Mr Oliver goes home and he can do his own analysis, because I don't want to analyse his work."

The break came for Chelsea in the 51st minute when Kante managed to break free and curled a shot from outside the 18-yard box into the bottom left corner, despite the best efforts of De Gea. Kante was undoubtedly the best player in yesterday's match providing the crucial goal.
