Floyd Mayweather has officially come out of retirement. In a recent interview with Sky Sports, the five-weight world champion publicly announced that he was cleaning up his boxing gloves for the ‘billion dollar’ fight against Conor McGregor.
‘Today I am officially out of retirement for Conor McGregor’, said the undefeated 4O-year old boxer.
The fight against UFC Lightweight Champion McGregor has been in the works for months now and is sure to get mainstream attention and break pay-per-view records, given the superstar status of both men involved. The match-up is plausible due to McGregor’s high-level striking ability, but Mayweather will go into the fight as the bookmaker’s favorite by a landslide.
‘We don’t need to waste no time. We need to make this sh^t happen quickly. Let’s get it done in June.’
With things moving in the right direction, the likelihood of this fight taking place are increasing every day. June cannot arrive soon enough.
