Chelsea vs. Manchester United, a rivalry that has become a tradition in English football, that even thinking of changing sides by getting transferred to the other seems a bleak possibility, however, there have been a number of players over the years that have made both Old Trafford and Stamford Bridge their home. So here are 5 footballers who have put on jerseys for both Chelsea and Manchester United.
5. Radamel Falcao
Referred to as El Tigre, Falcao made a name for himself while playing for Atlético Madrid before moving to AS Monaco on a five-year contract for an undisclosed fee which is believed to be around €60 million. The romance didn’t last for long and Falcao moved to Manchester United on loan for £6 million with an option to sign permanently for £43.5 at the season's end. The deal saw him earn £265,000-a-week at the club. He made his debut at Old Trafford against Queens Park Rangers and scored his first goal against Everton. At season's end he many believed him to be among the worst signings of the season. His spell at the club ended with the season in which he scored four goals in 29 appearances.
Chelsea signed Falcao the following season on a year-long loan deal with the option of a permanent transfer at the end of the season. It was again a season of disappointment as his playing time was restricted due to injuries. In his 10 appearances for Chelsea, he managed to score only once against Crystal Palace.
