The first booking that was made public for Wrestlemania 33, was that of Shaquille O’Neal facing the Big Show. The match had been doing rounds within days of Wrestlemania 32. Big Show and Shaq had met each other in the ring in the Battle Royale at Wrestlemania 32 and were eliminated together.
Show challenged the basketball player to a match at Wrestlemania 33 during the ESPY awards ceremony. Shaq had accepted and the match was sure to gain attention from everywhere, but now the match might not happen.

Shaq mentioned on a podcast that the rumours of the match not taking place are accurate and it was not due to any fault of his own. O’Neal went on to challenge Big Show again, and Show has been challenging Shaq intermittently for a while.

Big Show has been putting his work in the gym and is in the best shape of his life. This may just be a huge work for the match, which will actually take place at Wrestlemania 33.
