If the UEFA Champions League ever needed an advert, last night was it. Ninety minutes of exhilarating football that offered something for every fan. Goals aplenty, wrong referee calls, a missed penalty, goalkeeping howlers and the fortunes of the game fluctuating every 15 minutes.
A game so entertaining that it could make anyone fall in love with the competition. So it wasn't odd to find Lukakau, a player still early in his football career, revel in admiration for the European competition.
UCL is where reputations are build… what a competition

A definite reaffirmation of his desire to play in the Champions league and yet, nothing suggestive of a move away from Everton.
But the Evertonians on Twitter weren't pleased with the Belgian's tweet, with many claiming that he is posting a cryptic come-and-get-me plea to the biggest clubs in Europe.
@RomeluLukaku9 yeh yeh we get it you want to leave???????????? reputations are built….

The 23-year old has been in prolific for the Merseyside club (16 goals in 24 league games) which has consequently put him in the thick of transfer rumours. However, all that said, the Belgian is coming to an age where he needs to be playing amongst the best in Europe, and the chances of Everton offering that looks unrealistic.
