Sunrisers Hyderabad, the defending champions – what a season they had last year under the inspired leadership of Australian Vice-Captain, David Warner! Who can forget their last final against RCB? It was the night of Ben Cutting who, first with the bat thrashed Shane Watson all around the park and then with the ball took the prized wicket of Gayle along with Lokesh Rahul to take Sunrisers to their maiden IPL title.

Players Bought in IPL 2017 Auction – 7
SRH spent cautiously and eventually came up with some good picks which included – English Allrounder Chris Jordan, the highest wicket-taker in Big Bash History – Ben Laughlin, along with the Afghan duo of Mohammad Nabi and Rashid Khan. They also picked uncapped Indian Pacer, Mohammed Siraj for INR 2.60 crore. Tanmay Agarwal and Eklavya Dwivedi were the additions to the batting armory.
Team Strength/Weakness and Chances in IPL 10
When it comes to balance, no team can match the Sunrisers. They have got everything in right proportions. They have got some of the most destructive batsmen in T20 cricket. Fast bowling has remained their strength right from their inception and they have bolstered it further with the additions of Jordan and Laughlin.
They also boast of some very good allrounders in their ranks. The spin department looks a little bit weak as compared to fast bowling but they will expect Bipul Sharma and veteran Pravin Tambe with support from Deepak Hooda and Yuvraj Singh to do a good job.
Best Playing XI
