Manchester United saw themselves cruise to a comfortable 3-0 win over Saint-Etienne at Old Trafford in the Europa League. Zlatan Ibrahimovic's hat-trick ensured that United go into next week's 2nd leg with a comfortable cushion. The pre-match talk was all about the reunion of the Pogba brothers but it was Zlatan who stole the show in yet another 20 goal season for him.
The Swedish striker opened his account with a somewhat lucky free kick that deflected its way into the goal after hitting the Saint-Etienne wall. The encounter was fairly a scrappy one with Saint Etienne having many half chances. Manchester United though had the better of the chances and their resistance finally paid off after Ibrahimovic doubled their lead after Rashford's shot came of Ruffier to fall straight into the No 9's grasp who calmly slotted it in.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic rounded the day off with a clinical penalty that he himself earned to wrap things up for Jose Mourinho and Co. The three goals bring Zlatan's tally up to 23 for the season and he simply can't get enough.
