Today marks the birthday of the SA superstar AB de Villiers who turns 33. Apart from having glorious records in international cricket, AB has shown outstanding performance in the IPL too. With the coming IPL season, he is expected to fire for RCB along with Gayle and Kohli. We look at ABD's 5 best IPL innings:
133*(59), RCB vs MI, May 2015
AB’s highest score in IPL came against one of the best IPL teams. Virat won the toss and elected to bat first. Chris Gayle left the crease early and it marked the starting of wonderful innings by the captain (Virat) and AB. Pandya along with Bumrah were at the receiving end, being taken for cleaners by both the batsmen.
AB got to his fifty in 29 balls and then in no time raced to a glittering 100 in just 47 balls and remained unbeaten on 133 after 20 overs. He batted with a strike rate of 225 and hit 19 fours and 4 sixes on his way towards achieving his highest score. RCB reached a huge total of 235 which was successfully defended by the team resulting in a victory by 39 runs.
