Eight franchises had to release the players they were no longer interested in keeping before the start of season 10 of the Indian Premier League. As per Mid Day nearly 40 players have been released who will be available for auction before the new season begins.
Big names like Kevin Pietersen, Dale Steyn, Eoin Morgan, Morne Morkel, Jason Holder and Mitchell Johnson are understood to have been released by their respective franchises.
